The Ballarat International Foto Biennale is a not for profit incorporated association run mainly by volunteers.

Our aim is to present as much of the festival free to our audience, and as such we need sponsorship support to maintain the status of Australia’s most important festival of photography. BIFB’09 saw over 46,000 visitations to our Core Program exhibitions.

The Ballarat International Foto Biennale is a not for profit incorporated association with deductable gift recipient status and can issue a receipt for tax purposes for any donation of $5 or more.

The festival plays an important part in the cultural landscape of Ballarat and contributes to the city’s international exposure. On a broader scale it raises the profile of Australian photography and photographers to the rest of the world.

The two years it takes to organise an event of this scale is a drain on both our finances and our human resources beyond that which our funding levels can fulfill. That is why we need your financial support to continue to offer an exhibition program of the highest quality and maintain free entry to the majority of our venues.

Your commitment will enable us not only to continue and enrich our activities, but also to produce an event that matches similar events on the world stage.
