LATEST NEWS

30/8/11  We apologise for the late start, but  we are happy to announce that Tim Burder’s fringe show advertised for the wall in Police Lane [beside the Art Gallery] has found a new home. ‘Show me as I am’  will hang on the balcony at the George Hotel, 27 Lydiard Street North, and directly opposite on the Old Colonist balcony.

24/8/11 A few late program changes. Kirilee Bailey’s fringe show has moved to Portico on Sturt, venue #12 on the CBD circuit map.

Opening hours for the Melbourne Silver Mine show at  Woolshed Clothing  venue #38, Monday to Wednesday closed [open only by arrangement] Thursday  and Friday, 11am to 5.00pm, Saturday and Sunday 10.00am to 6.00pm

20/8/11  Due to circumstances beyond our control, the Capture Ballarat competition scheduled for Sunday 21st at Sovereign Hill has unfortunately been cancelled

18/8/11  Don’t miss the fantastic Sarah Saudek Soiree on this coming Sunday night  in the Call Room at the Mining Exchange. Start time is 5.00pm and runs to 7.00pm. Tickets at the door $25.00. Includes discussion with Sarah and refreshments

15/8/11 Where have the last two years gone? Hard to believe but BIFB’1 is less than a week to launch.

We have a few late program changes. Due to circumstances beyond our control, the Master Printer’s show has had to be cancelled. We also have a few late venue changes, also beyond our control. The two shows scheduled for the Mallow Hotel, Katherine Winder’s ‘Colomba Livia’ and Ros Lawason and Lynden Nicholls ‘Meniscus’ have both moved to the  Backspace Gallery [ behind the Ballarat Art Gallery on Alfred Deakin Place] and Jeff Moorfoot’s ‘Liefmotif’ has moved from Mables to Radmac office supplies.

7/711     The BIFB’11 program is closed, and now we have the massive task of collating information on over 170 events that will comprise BIFB’11.  We ask for your patience for just a little bit longer while we compile the information on all festival events.

8/6/11   Fringe program entries are now closed. There are still a few venues that don’t have shows. Head to our facebook page for information, but you will need to hurry as we have to collate information from around 150 separate events and get it off to the designers so we have printed programs ready to distribute mid July. You still may be able to be part of BIFB’11, but you may not be listed in the printed program

30/5/11 Only two more days before BIFB’11 Fringe Program registrations close. Get your paperwork in and join the 60 other shows already registered across 40 BIFB’11 venues before it’s too late.  You won’t get another chance to expose your work to such a huge audience again until 2013!

It’s all a bit daunting we know. ....so much information and where to find it?!!  Perhaps the following will make your task a little easier, and if all else fails, you can  call the office and speak to a real person [if there is someone there] or leave a message and a real person will get back to you as soon as possible.
