To celebrate the forthcoming Ballarat International Foto Biennale, BIFB ’11, Fed Square and Lowepro invite you to enter….
F STOP ......... 'Think Inside the Square'
Photographers are invited to submit a series of four photographs to our exciting BIFB’11 competition.
Brief:
F Stop. begins with two elements.
1) Each photograph must be taken within Fed Square.
2) The four photographs must include the letters, or representations of, B, I, F, B. One letter per photograph.
There are separate categories for amateur and professional photographers.
Prizes:
First prize
•Place in John Gollings’ masterclass during BIFB ’11, one night accommodation in Ballarat, Lowepro camera bag [approx value $500]
Second prize
•Place in John Gollings’ masterclass during BIFB ’11, Lowepro camera bag [approx value $400]
Third prize
•Place in John Gollings’ masterclass during BIFB ‘11 [value $200]
Fourth prize
•Lowepro camera bag [approx value $150]
The winning images will be included in a screen based presentation during BIFB ’11. All submitted entries will be shown on screen at Fed Square.
Details:
Competition will run from Wednesday June 1- Sunday July 24, 2011.
The competition will be judged on August 29 at Federation Square by The BIFB's Julie Millowick, Photographer and Lecturer in Photography & Photojournalism at LaTrobe Uni Bendigo, Kate Brennan, Chief Executive Officer, Fed Square Pty Ltd and Stephen Zagala, Monash Gallery of Art Curator. Winners will be announced on the screen at Federation Square as well as published in the Herald Sun and notified in writing.
